I agree with the assessment of the current regime in Beijing as just the latest dynasty.  Every Chinese dynasty ultimately fell when they lost the acquiescence of the peasants.  As long as they can keep the peasants, and now the urban industrial class, fed and happy, the country will be on an even keel.  Given that there is real wealth being created and accumulated, there is a buffer now against the unpredicted disaster.</description>

		<description>I agree. China has its problems, but every country has its problems.  And if China is going to implode, something major will need to happen to precipitate that and I just don&#039;t see it.  Of course, it is the unpredicted major things that can cause great dislocations.....</description>
